Epic Audiobook

Long before Audible was part of Amazon, I had been a monthly subscriber- nothing passes the daily commute better than a fantastic audiobook or podcast. A friend of mine and I were bouncing some of our recent listens off of each other and she recommended this series- after reading the synopsis for book one, I purchased it- on sale for $5, not worth wasting a credit on. A game of “Caverns and Creatures” with a new “Cavernmaster” who becomes a bit butt hurt and, using some magical dice, sends the protagonists of the story to the magical world of C&C and their subsequent journey to return to the real world.

I devoured the book that same day and had many good laughs along the way. If you’ve ever played D&D, or who have friends that have, you’ll likely enjoy this series tremendously. Book VI recently came out and I’m currently listening to it- all of them are pure gold, although V seemed a bit drawn out a bit. There’s lots of colorful language, so it’s not the best to listen to with kids in the care, but there’s a lot of character development and a fun storyline.
